PRENATAL YOGA

Prenatal Yoga is a practice developed specifically to support moms through all stages of pregnancy. Prenatal yoga offers ways to modify poses so that they are safe and accessible for women to practice when pregnant. Yoga takes us on the journey inward allowing us to connect with our mind, body and baby.

Physical Health

Prenatal yoga can help build strength and flexibility in muscles used for labor and delivery, and improve endurance. It can also help with lower back pain, nausea, headaches, shortness of breath, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Mental Health

Prenatal yoga is a great way to improve mood and sleep, while reducing stress, anxiety, and depression The combination of intentional movement and breathing can help create a calm mental state and teach tools to cope with challenging moments.

Easier Labor & Delivery

Prenatal yoga can help prepare for easier labor and delivery, and may even reduce the duration of labor and increase the chances of a normal vaginal birth. It can also help move the baby into the right position for delivery, which can help the baby experience less stress.

Better Pelvic Floor Control

Prenatal yoga can help stabilize the pelvic floor muscles, which has many benefits including aiding in recovery after child birth, prevent accidental urine leakage during pregnancy and after birth. Stronger pelvic floor muscles can also help speed up delivery.
